Not long ago one strand decided to rip out forty-nine others in a horrific way. We were left with holes and strains on many others. Human spirit and potential was lost. The artist, Sia, decided to honor the fallen. Let us all remember what we lost and to ensure it never occurs again.
I always find it interesting when people reflect on the past. It show just what they hold dear. Recently I was listening to a conservative politician refer to the 1980's and the Reagan years. They were opining how great it was. They were inferring the absence of the LGBT community.
The 80's without the LGBT community...really now?
Do I really need to go on? The 80's ok I get it you want good music, high fashion, men with long hair and glam make up, and a happy party culture... ok I'm with you on that. I'll agree if you finally see what your longing for.
It's been thirty-four years since this release yet for many it still holds true. Funny how we have come so far but still lag behind. My suggestion is just as the video suggests. Open your prison door, walk out, sing, dance, and most especially live.
I think we all can use music we can connect with and touch. Music that is about our lives. Here is some wonderful voices form the rainbow. I hope you enjoy!
Sean is known for his wonderful LGBT advocacy through music and song. His latest work is so nice and and heartwarming. I think we all need romance. Maybe one day Ill have someone sing to me like this. Either way Sean thank you.
Considering yesterday's post was about negative speech towards Lesbians I thought would all could use a different perspective. So today we have some Lesbian YouTube channels. From informative to racy and real examples of love you should find something of interest. It's an L day!
I first found Chris when viewing his original
It Get's Better video, now replaced by a
much better version. Chris is one of those
artists that sing from the heart. I always
find that to be extra special, especially from
a gay musician. All those pure emotions
of love, passion, and pain come from
someone like you and you know the song
connects with you.
Chris is also an actor having appeared in several of the Eating Out series. Toss in a little modeling and touring and he is an all around entertainer.
Hopefully he will touch you as he did me.
Connecting with someone is after all the
success of a good entertainer. So here is
the link to Chris's sites.
Today I wanted to offer some lighter links. It's been a while since our last movie night. So today I have some short films for my Lesbian readers. I hope you enjoy them.
Ask Again Later is a short about love, destiny, and overcoming obstacles.
Today I would like to offer some more links to my international viewers. As always I try to offer help to anyone wherever they are. I do have language barriers and would appreciate any reviews of listed sites. I hope these are useful.
GayEcuador seems to be a links/news/entertainment site. (Ecuador)
