Gay Florida II

Today I am focusing on student resources. As usual for the larger states I will not so individual reviews unless necessary. Most student resources offer education, support, advocacy, and social resources.

The University of Miami has two resources. The first is Spectrum. It is a Gay-Straight Alliance style. Second is Their law schools OUTLaw.

Gay Florida: Transgender Florida

In my continuing focus on Florida I have some sites for my Trans viewers.

Trans Central Station is a support group for Central Florida. This is a Yahoo group so you will be required to log in. The message index is also a bit dated but that does not mean the group is in active. They may being using mail more.

Florida, The Sunshine State, today is your day. In this first section I am listing all the PFLAG sites I have for the state. PFLAG has many resources and helps not only the LGBT community but their friends and families as well. Please check them out if you need help or information. Here are some more ways to stay fit, get involved, and meet new people. If nothing else go out and enjoy a spirited game.

The Shady Ladies is a softball team in Austin, Texas. If you have seen their It Gets Better video they certainly define support and positive role models.

Live! Stop the Hate!

I began this humble project to offer resources to anyone in need, whatever the need. Hopefully to stop the suffering and death of so many of us in the LGBT community. In the wake of even more suicides this week it is disheartening but I shall redouble my efforts and strive to make more sources available to everyone.
